Evelina's Spouse Abuse Survivor Web Site
A head and shoulders portrait of Evelina

Web site Updated: 26 January 2003.
Ocala, Florida

Welcome!

We were a small family of three; my daughters Elysia, (20), and Cristina, (15), and myself. But now we are a family of 4. Elysia married Scott on 31 May 2001. They live in Hawaii for now. We've lived in Ocala for about 8 years. Before that, we lived in Japan, in a historic naval city called Yokosuka on, (what else?), Yokosuka U. S. Navy Base, as dependents. For 19 years! Can you believe that! My girls were born there. They attended Sullivan's School, and Elysia was attending Kinnick High School for her second year when we left Japan. We had some major adjusting to do, both cultural shock wise, and fitting into civilian life. The girls missed the food, and their friends. So did I. We've obviously adjusted well to civilian life, although my son-in-law joined the Army prior to his engagement to Elysia, thrusting Elysia once more into the midst of military life. And there is someone special in my life now , Charlie.

We have made several friends since our return. Here you can meet some my Internet, (and real life) friends, We have collected many useful links, some for fun, school, and some we just can't explain!  We  are planning to include links for our newest family members, our pets.

Who we are, our hobbies and our life are on other pages, (or will be). Just click on our names and on other text links on this page to find out all about our happy little family!

The links above are subjects I'm all too familiar with, and are here to provide help to other women.  There is no guest book to sign and please don't forget to purge your Netscape cache or delete your temporary Internet files if you are in danger of someone at home finding out you are seeking help. For detailed instructions go to the National Domestic Violence Hotline's Safety Page, ( http://www.ndvh.org/safety.html), and follow their instructions. Also be very careful with any e-mail you send. I have had abusive male spouses who snoop through their wife's e-mail and/or address book and send me e-mail asking who I am.

To share your story with me, or have it posted here e-mail me at
